Classic Cellars' Wine Cabinet Features

The most important factors to consider when paurchasing a wine cabinet are;

The Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets provide a constant temperature, humidity controlled, well-ventilated, vibration free, light controlled, odour-free environment for your wine collection. Classic Cellars philosophy is to recreate the climate found in a natural cellar.

Every model in the Classic Cellars Wine Cabinet range is superbly finished with stylish pull-out timber, beech shelf ‘drawers’ on anti-vibration sliders.

And unlike the Peltier chip units, they don’t cost a fortune to run!

You can rotate wine from your aluminium racks into your wine cabinet and serve wine at the optimum temperature every time.

Temperature Control

The Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets utilise an exclusive twin process thermal regulation system, recreating the specific climate of a natural cellar. The Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets ensure a constant temperature, irrespective of their outside surroundings (0 - 38ºC). Constant temperature is ensured by the walls in SRA aluminium, well know for its excellent thermal conductivity.

Ventilation System

Cheap 'Wine Fridges' often are described as "hermetically sealed refrigerators" or providing "closed circuit ventilation". Both these methods are less than ideal for your wine collection. Wine breathes through the cork and without ventilation, the taste will eventually be distorted by ambient smells and mould will develop. The Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets have a natural and highly effective ventilation system producing ideal results. The slow circulation of filtered air is achieved through the pressure variation between the upper opening of the cabinet , equipped with an active charcoal filter, and the lower opening like natural cellars. This ensures constant gentle ventilation and avoids mould.

Humidity

Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets are equipped with SRA walls (Stone Relief Aluminium). The ambient humidity naturally present in the air is captured with an ideal humidity level of above 60% guaranteed. Excess humidity is evacuated to a draining tank. Excellent conductors, the SRA walls diffuse the humidity, even throughout the cabinet. Cheap "Wine Fridges" use smooth plastic walls similar to refrigerator walls, these do not retain humidity. Moreover, as plastic is an insulating material, the humidity is not diffused through the cabinet and as a result is too low at the top of the cabinet.

Vibration Exclusion System (VES)

Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets features an exclusive Vibration Exclusion System (VES), ensuring a real barrier against vibration. The compressor unit rests on four high performance 'silent blocks', thus avoiding vibration entering the cabinet. Each shelf also features four rubber shock absorbers, enabling and residual vibration to be kept to a minimum. The cabinet's feet are adjustable individually to offer perfect stability.

Beech Timber Shelves

Classic Cellars Wine Cabinets feature two types of shelves; Storage or Ball Bearing Type Wooden Shelves. Both provide soft pads, avoiding direct contact between the shelf and the chest body inside, not only to absorb the vibration, but to also avoid the water dropping to the bottle, damaging the label. The Storage Shelves are able to withstand a weight up to 85kg, whilst the Ball Bearing Type Wooden Shelves glide in and out the cabinet and can with stand a weight up to 15kg.

Additional shelves are able to be purchased to add to each of the Classic Cellars' Wine Cabinets.
